Arrival
Yuchande had left Dar’rail quite some time ago, to hunt on his own and gain personal glory. He had decided to take a Kainde Amedha Queen so he could make his own hunts interesting. He had hidden it away so that no one could find it. He also made sure it could not escape and hyper-froze it to make sure it wouldn’t try to escape on its own. It had it make 20 eggs for his upcoming hunt, one which he hoped would help show just how strong the Pyode Amedha were in a real fight.
As Yuchande had stood on his ship gathering his weapons the vessel had entered the system quite a bit a ago. He had already sent down the Kainde Amedha so by now they were ready to hunt. He donned his armor and mask then moved to his weapons. He wanted to use Jehdin Jehdin (hand to hand combat) as much as possible so he picked up his Double-Glaive, Wristblades, Combi-Stick and Shuriken. He had picked up his Plasma Caster but decided to only use it if he was really in trouble. Though he disdained bringing it in the first place but according to his research some Pyode Amedha who called themselves “Mandoloriens” were great warriors of the galaxy, so he didn’t want to take the chance.
Yuchande’s ship landed about a mile away from the hunting site, which in turn buried itself in the snow of the world and cloaked. Yuchande stood looking out the world, ready for his hunt. There was a crushing blizzard that would have hampered any normal creatures vision but not Yuchande's, because he adorned his Helmet. He sped out into the tundra to find his prey, Kainde Amedha or Pyode Amedha, whichever he came upon first.
The Hunt Begins
The Mandalorian officer stood at the entrance of the cavern with a squad of soldiers.
[blue]“What the hell happened here... what the hell could do this...”[/blue]
The officer looked upon a gruesome scene. Eight soldiers, who’s chests looked like they had been ripped open from the inside, lay strewn across the entrance of the cavern. Each one of them still clutching weapons in their hands.
[blue]“Get command on the comm. We need to tell them there’s either someone or something here. Private Krol, take Javs and get that message sent. We‘re gonna check out this cavern.”[/blue]
[brown]“Yes sir, right away.”[/brown]
The officer took the rest of the squad into the cavern to find whatever was in there.
Yuchande watched the group of Mandoloriens converse amongst themselves. Then suddenly two of the group headed into the blizzard. He watched the rest of group start walking into the caverns. He then turned his attention to the other two. Seeing as they were probably going to get help Yuchande decided that he would take them out first, as he didn’t want to be interrupted. He sped off toward them waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
Private Krol noted just how god damn cold it was that day. That on top of something slaughtering a whole squad of soldiers really made his day. He turned to Javs in order to break the eerie silence.
[brown]“So what do you think happened back there? What could have done that to them?”[/brown]
Krol noticed they were getting closer to the encampment. The hike seemed a lot shorter then when they had headed that way the first time. He noticed that Javs didn’t answer so he turned.
[brown]“So what? Not in a talk a...”[/brown]
Krol stopped mid sentence when to his amazement Javs was no where to be found. He opened his comm and was open to all channels.
[brown]“Javs. What the hell man you get lost?”[/brown], he paused and waited a minute or so, [brown]“Hey man that’s not funny, where are you?”[/brown]
Krol waited for an answer and only listened to static until his own voice came back to him on the comm.
[Orange]“Hey man that’s not funny, where are you? Where are you. Where are you. ”[/Orange]
A cackling laugh could be heard over the repeating words.
[orange]“What the hell could do this...”[/orange]
His sergeants voice then came over the comm. Krol could hear a loud roar come out from the blizzard. Krol broke and ran off, making his way to the base.
Yuchande watched as the human ran at a fast pace to the encampment a few hundred meters from where they were. He ripped the Pyode Amedha’s head off with a sickening snap. He pulled the creatures head out along with its spinal cord, which he severed with his Wristblades. He pinned the skinned head to his trophy belt, his first kill of the day. He would show himself to the other to allow a more enjoyable hunt then this. He looked up and saw his prey was at the encampment now. He hurried off to catch up and claim more trophies.
Yuchande arrived at the encampment and stood perched on one of the buildings. He had found that, at least, forty more of these Mandoloriens stayed at this base, which Yuchande reveled at. He stood scanning the base and found a large dish stationed on top of one of the buildings was sending waves of information. He aimed his Plasma Caster and fired four blasts annihilating the dish and the surrounding area. ‘No help for the Pyode Amedha’, Yuchande thought to himself. He quickly jumped across to another building in case one of the Mandoloriens had spotted him. It seemed not so but around a dozen or so of them came running out of the buildings. Each holding weapons and donning armor. ‘Oh yes…a good hunt indeed…'
He drew his Shuriken to start things off. He stood and threw it at an arc where it would cut down three of the warriors and then return to his new position as he moved. He jumped from rooftop to rooftop as the blade cut completely through its victims, felling all three. Yuchande caught the Shuriken and sped off into the buildings. Dozens of blaster bolts flew past him, colliding with the nearby walls. ‘Fast on the draw’, Yuchande liked this about them. Even though he was invisible they fired at the Shuriken as he caught it. They were either very skilled or it was just dumb luck. Either way they now knew he was hear so Yuchande would have to be on his guard.
He kept moving threw the buildings climbing one when he had lost them. He quickly doubled back to get the drop on his prey. He found them running threw the alleyways so he dropped down behind them, drawing his Combi-Stick, extending it to full length. He de-activated his cloak and roared a challenge at his opponents. He skewered one of the warriors and effortlessly tossed him backward, leaving his lifeless body to crash into one of the buildings behind them, issuing another roar at the other warriors before throwing the Combi-Stick like a spear.
The soldiers turned just in time to see two of their own being punctured and nailed to the nearest wall. The beast in front of them was like none they had ever seen. Nearly 2.4 meters tall, donning armor and carrying a human skull on its belt. It roared once again and then jumped to the side as they started firing.
[brown]“Holy shit man! That’s what must have killed Javs!”[/brown]
[yellow]“Take it down!”[/yellow]
Yuchande sped away from the group of soldiers. He quickly moved to find another group and also to asses the situation that was unfolding. He activated his cloaking once more so he would be able to travel without trouble. He stood atop the highest building surveying the area. He found two groups that contained twelve or more Mandoloriens, and three that had less then six. He would move to engage the smaller groups first, then make his way to the larger ones. This hunt was already doing well.
Yuchande stood atop one of the encampment buildings. Holding the last of the prey that remained. Nine of the warriors managed to get away in some sort of vehicle. The rest fell by Yuchande’s hand that day. He had suffered only minor wounds, nothing his Med Kit couldn’t heal. The warrior he held before them had been called Capten. Possibly a name of honor among their clans, Yuchande figured. So he decided to keep this skull as a trophy as he discarded the one he had retrieved earlier. He held his prey skull in the air and roared triumphantly.
Krol and the rest of the survivors sped away from the encampment, away from that thing. He had already repeatedly tried to contact the sergeant but nothing was coming back. The blizzard was interfering with comm channels. They had to link up with the others so they could get the hell out of there. Krol watched the cavern get closer and closer until soon they were there. He looked down at the bodies that were in front of the cavern and thought to himself, “Moving from one slaughter to the next...great...”
