Bo Ro-tahn
COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
A young jedi hopeful stands 5’6, and average height for a maturing 12 year old. His Kel Dor appearance setting him apart from his classmates, his beige alien like skin and clawed fingers making some uncomfortable. His face sported a black mask and goggles, as was expected by any Kel Dor not gracing the planet of Dorin.
His attire is simple, boasting only the basic robes of the jedi that lack any sort of flash or identifying design. A deep tan colored wool that brought an uncomfortable ichy feeling when worn. However the young hopeful has long forgotten the feeling over the years. Brown, worn boots and leather belt complement his plain attire.
PERSONALITY:
Bo is curious, adventurous, idealistic, and OCD A certain craving for knowledge and adventure motivates him, and a righteous, naïve and innocent mind guides his decisions. At his young age, the world is much brighter then how many of the older, more experienced citizens of the galaxy view it. But none the less, a young student with an obsessive compulsive disorder in a group known for its discipline has thrived in some ways, but struggled in others.
LIKES AND DISLIKES:
Bo’s own likes certain mostly around electronics. While his curious mind does spread elsewhere, his focus on how such things as the computer works astounds him. Picking apart advanced pieces of technology at a young age, he has gone on to become quite knowledge of mechanics and other related items.
He also questions how the brain and body works, the young tech head taking an particular interest in psychology and biology. Those areas of school remained his favorites as he shunned literature, philosophy, and similar classes. This was one issue that worried jedi, fearing his wisdom would not match the jedi standards. After all, the jedi were renowned as philosophers and great historians. Not inventors and mechanics. His OCD has led to his continues study of mechanics and drive for perfection makes him brilliant, but his lack of attention and capability to understand philosophical views and the like hinder his progression in the jedi order.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Bo is quite witty for his age, thinking surprisingly well on his feet and improvising. That ability to adapt is perhaps his biggest strength, though one may consider his curiosity and craving to learn his best attribute. In such a youth, anything is possible. But to those who look more statistically and in the present, his mechanical knowledge is certainly impressive. And even more, a well balanced body makes him suited for multiple situations.
On the other hand, Bo can be naïve and too trusting. His inexperience is certainly a factor that can lead to rash decisions; His skill in combat could also certainly use a tune up. While he has experienced very little true combat training, the Kel Dor has shown to consistently almost fail tests. He manages to spread out his talent, and apply an average skill to all areas, though it has shown he leans towards a defensive strategy rather then offensive which if his defense remains only average, will be picked apart quickly with no offense.
HISTORY:
Coming from the home planet of the Kel Dor, Bo was perhaps the perfect subject for a jedi. An orphan, without attachments, he found young and with an affiliation to the force by the jedi order. Taken in to be raised by the jedi order, he would be fed, clothed, and taught by the jedi. And so, his first memories would appear on dantooine,
Many had high hopes for Bo in his very early years, showing restraint and discipline, as well as a kind heart. However this discipline soon became attributed to OCD, and while he held a very kind heart, he did not show wisdom in particular in the initial tests. However he had managed to show technical prowess, and became witty, showing the ability to adapt and improvise. All the same, he was very technical in his work. But all in all, despite the high jedi orders high hopes for this young talent, through the years, he only managed to show himself as average at best.
And then, somewhere around the age of eight, Bo was transferred to Coruscant. Here he showed good socialization, though he was shunned slightly by a few of his classmates. From this time on, he took a shy manner, and rarely spoke unless spoken too unless e felt it was important. When he did speak however, he spoke well. And now, having past the basic tests, if only barely, the jedi hopeful has been listed in need of a master.
